18 Minehead Road  is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide accommodation and support for up to six people, aged 18 and upwards, with learning disabilities.

 

The accommodation is spread across three storeys consisting of: individual en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen, a utility room, two lounges and a conservatory leading out to a small garden.

 

The single most important goal of the service that we aim to provide is the achievement of valued social roles for our residents and their participation in all aspects of their daily life.

 

We focus on what our residents can do rather than what they cannot do and where appropriate, we support our residents to enrol in local colleges of education and to pursue voluntary work or paid employment if that is their choice.

We recognise that movement along this progressive pathway is only possible when we engage friends, family and all personnel involved in the care of our residents, to join us in ensuring a strong circle of support and, we encourage them to make their views known as a means of improving our services and the development of new policies.
